Why aren’t the stars visible in pictures of astronauts on spacewalks?

When astronauts are outside of the spacecraft, they are in space. In space, there is no atmosphere to block light . This means that stars and other celestial objects will not be visible in pictures taken while an astronaut is outside of the spacecraft.
