A hovercraft also called an air-cushion vehicle (ACV) is used to travel over water and land. A hovercraft suspended above the water on a cushion of air ejected downwards against a surface below it. This gives the hovercraft the ability to hover and move.
A powerful fan present in the hovercraft creates the air cushion to hover. For this reason, a hovercraft is also called an air-cushion vehicle or ACV.
In this activity, we will make a hovercraft using a balloon instead of a fan. The balloon’s air creates the cushion needed for the hovercraft to glide over the surface of a table or floor.
