Juno Spacecraft built by NASA’s scientific mission launched in 2011 to explore Jupiter. The spacecraft spins at a rate of three rotations per minute, which gives the instruments on board a chance to sweep across Jupiter 400 times every two hours. Another special aspect of Juno is the large area of solar panels in order for the spacecraft to collect as much sunlight as possible to be powered from as far a distance as Jupiter’s orbit. Juno is also the first spacecraft to be equipped with an anti-radiation vault to protect electronics on board from Jupiter’s strong radiation.
